Introduction

Modern automotive engineering, along with aerospace engineering and marine engineering, is a branch of vehicle engineering, incorporating elements of mechanical, electrical, electronic, software and safety engineering as applied to the design, manufacture and operation of motorcycles, automobiles, buses and trucks and their respective engineering subsystems.

Dr. V. Vasanthi Devi, the Chairperson of the board was a two-time Vice-Chancellor of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu and is a well-known women activist of the century.

Thiru G. Ramakrishnan, I.A.S (Retired) was a former State Information Commissioner of Tamil Nadu (2006-2010).

Prof. Dr. R. B. Kumar, is a former Director, School of Management, Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Dr. A. Purushothaman is a former head of the department of Marine Biology, Annamalai University, Parangipettai, Tamil Nadu.

Smt. Kasturi Parthasarathyis the wife of the founder Trustee, Late. Shri Parthasarathy and has been associated with the Trust since its inception.

Shri. M. D. Balaji,the Secretary-Trustee is the illustrious son of the founder Chairman, Late Shri M. E. Devarajan and is a popular industrialist in Chennai.

Sriram Polytechnic College was established in the year 1984 at Perumalpattu Village in Tiruvallur District with approval of Government of Tamil Nadu in G.O.Ms.No.365 (Edn) Dated:29-04-1984 with an aim to help the down-trodden, minority telugu speaking people and to uplift the educational standard of the Village based populations.

Norms For Admission

  • Regular Pass in S.S.L.C (10th Std) or matriculation examination.

Lateral Entry

  • Academic Stream: Pass in H.Sc, Examination (+2) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their main subjects
  • Vocational Stream: Pass in vocational stream subjects with physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their main subjects
  • NCVT Certified trade students are eligible.
