Transportation

Sriram College is operating their own Buses from important points of Chennai and from muffesel area of UTHUKOTAI (via) PERIYAPALAYAM. Besides college buses, a number of Metro Transport Corporation Buses and Electro-Motive Units are, also, available to reach Veppampattu Railway Station and the College is situated within a walkable distance from Veppampattu Railway Station

Scholarship For Govt. of Tamil Nadu

Students can avail SC/ST Scholarship awarded by the state/central government to pursue the DIPLOMA courses whose parentally income does not exceed Rs. 2 Lakhs.

Sriram Scholarship Fund

Sriram Educational Trust has created “Sriram Scholarship Fund” with a corpus fund of Rs. 5 crores to provide financial assistance to the needy deserving students of Sriram Educational Institutions. Under this , Rs.10 lakhs scholarship is given every year to for the following category of students:

Meritorious, academically strong with high Cumulative Grade Point (on merit basis).
Meritorious and economically poor.
Very poor but above average in academics

Community Development

With a view to provide meaningful and quality non-formal training to rural youth ,women , school dropouts ,SCs/STs ,disabled and other weaker sections and under privileged groups of the society to enable them to obtain gainful wage / self employment and in turn improving their standard of living , the Government of India, thorough MHRD DEPT. Started a scheme named “ Scheme of community development through polytechnic colleges (CDTP)” in 2009. This scheme is presently operational in 518 polytechnics in our country ; Sriram polytechnic college is one among them.
This program is funded by MHRD and it is functioning from 1st April 2010. Under this scheme six extension centre is functioning in around polytechnic campus.

The main objectives of the scheme are:

To carry out Need Assessment Surveys to assess the technology and training needs;
To impart Skill Development Training to the intended target groups;
To disseminate Appropriate Technologies for productivity enhancement;
To provide Technical and Support Services to rural masses and slums dwellers;
