Sriram Polytechnic College was established in the year 1984 at Perumalpattu Village in Tiruvallur District with approval of Government of Tamil Nadu in G.O.Ms.No.365 (Edn) Dated:29-04-1984 with an aim to help the down-trodden, minority telugu speaking people and to uplift the educational standard of the Village based populations.

Which is the first polytechnic College to have this training facility among all the Polytechnic Colleges in Tamilnadu, to train 20 candidates every year and getting them placed that remains the special feature of this program.
